About The Rainfall

The Rainfall are a three-piece rock band from Christchurch, New Zealand, blending the emotional honesty of emo, the energy of pop punk, and the anthemic edge of late ’90s–early 2000s rock. Their songs balance raw feeling with big melodies — built for late nights, loud rooms, and the moments in between.

Formed in 2023, the band quickly found momentum through relentless live shows, radio support, and a growing connection with listeners across Aotearoa. Drawing inspiration from the era that shaped them, The Rainfall channel the urgency and heart of turn-of-the-millennium rock while keeping their sound grounded in the present.

Their music explores themes of growth, burnout, relationships, and self-reflection — delivered with emotional weight, dynamic shifts, and choruses designed to be shouted back in a crowd. Whether it’s a heavy hook or a quieter, reflective moment, the focus is always on connection and authenticity.

At its core, The Rainfall make music for people who feel things deeply. No gimmicks. No polish for the sake of it. Just honest songs, loud enough to feel and personal enough to mean something.
