About The Rainfall
Formed in 2023, The Rainfall quickly established themselves on the national stage, reaching the finals of the 2024 NZ Battle of the Bands and securing a place on NZ On Air’s New Tracks compilation with their breakout single “Guts.” Their momentum continued with the release of their self-titled debut album, launched at a sold-out headline show on 15 August, followed by a full nationwide tour.
The band’s single “Nothing Makes Sense” climbed to #2 on the NZ Rock Radio Airplay Charts and placed at #1834 on the 2025 Rock 2000 Countdown, reinforcing their growing presence within Aotearoa’s rock community. In 2025, The Rainfall also performed at the sold-out Go Live! Festival at Christchurch Town Hall, sharing the stage with some of New Zealand’s leading musical acts.
After spending 2025 in the studio, The Rainfall have completed their second full-length album, scheduled for release in 2026. Leading this next chapter are the new singles “Until the Story Ends” and “No Good,” which showcase the band’s continued growth in songwriting, emotional depth, and live-ready energy.
With proven live experience, national radio support, and a growing audience, The Rainfall continue to establish themselves as a compelling force in New Zealand rock.
